Aphrodite and the Diadoumenos are two important examples of ancient Greek sculpture and represent different aspects of the ancient Greek ideal of beauty.
Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, was often represented as an ideal of feminine beauty and harmony. One of the most famous works associated with her figure is the Venus de Milo, a marble statue from the Hellenistic period.
The Diadoumenos, on the other hand, represents a young athlete tying a ribbon around his head, probably after achieving an important victory. The work is attributed to the sculptor Polykleitos and is considered a characteristic example of the ideal male body in Classical Greek art. The artist placed great emphasis on correct proportions, balance, and harmony in the human body.
